Workplace Violence Prevention Seminar

A special half-day seminar presented by the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board – Business Services Center

 The need for workplace violence prevention training has never been greater.  This unique seminar includes a multi-faceted approach to address various legal, HR and public defense best practices to help make your workplace more secure.

Paul J. Bauer, a shareholder with Sagaser, Watkins & Wieland PC, Brenda Budke, Executive Director, at  Sierra HR Partners, Les Van Meter, Retired Deputy IV, and Daniel Cervantes, Retired Sergeant with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, will be presenting prevention techniques and strategies to establish clear policies for workplace violence.  Training topics include:

  • Effective policy implementation for emergency response
  • Legal issues on violence in the workplace
  • Recent trends/terrorism
  • Situational awareness
  • Active shooter defensive training
  • Survival actions – what to do/what to expect when violence erupts
  • Law Enforcement/Emergency Medical Services response and the aftermath

 Note: Portions of this program may include graphic violence
