Presenters

Nicholas S. Katko, is an early pioneer of Lean Accounting. In the 1990’s, as CFO of Bullard, Nick implemented a complete lean management accounting system in conjunction with Bullard’s Lean transformation, which included eliminating standard costing. Through this experience, Nick learned that existing management accounting systems and financial management practices for lean organizations must be made relevant to ensure the success of a lean strategy.

Mike De Luca, Principal & Owner, Torre Consulting and is a Faculty Member of the Lean Enterprise Institute www.lean.org – Mike leads workshops including, “Key Financial Outcomes of Lean Thinking” and The LEAN PROFIT MODEL. Mike developed his Lean thinking in his role as Executive Director of Finance for a multi-billion dollar healthcare organization in WA, where he led the Lean transformation of his own department, evolved the role of Finance to meet the changing needs of a Lean organization, and co-led the Lean transformation of financial planning processes across the enterprise.
